The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following traffic advisories on Interstate 95 thru September 2, 2016.
Friday and Saturday Nights Closures
- Warwick: I-95 North and South, from the Park Ave. Bridge to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Friday and Saturday nights, August 26 and 27, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following day. Expect delays.
Temporary Exit and Ramp Closures
- Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), exit closed for construction, Monday night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour using Exit 22A (Memorial Blvd.).
- Providence: Access from I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) back to I-95 South will be closed for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
Overnight Closures
- Coventry to Hopkinton: I-95 North and South and its ramps, from Exit 7 (New London Turnpike) to the Connecticut state line, expect alternating lane closures in a moving operation for striping, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 16 (Rte. 10) to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.\
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 13 (Airport Connector) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- West Greenwich to Richmond: I-95 North and South, from Hopkins Hill Rd. in West Greenwich to the Connecticut state line, left lane closed in a moving operation for debris removal, Wednesday night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Closures
- Providence: I-95 Northbound at the Broad Street overpass, right shoulder closed for sign work, Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
