The New Jersey Turnpike Authority reports the following weekend closures to watch out for:
- Southbound drivers will not be able to exit at Interchange 12 of the New Jersey Turnpike. A detour will be posted. Drivers passing by on the mainline of the Turnpike, exiting the northbound Turnpike, or entering the Turnpike in either direction from Interchange 12 will not be affected. This closure will begin at 9 tonight and continue until 5 Monday morning. The deck of a bridge on the exit ramp is being repaired and resurfaced.
- One lane of the eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the Turnpike approaching the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza will be closed. The exit for Liberty Science Center (Communipaw Avenue) will also be closed … drivers will be detoured to Christopher Columbus Drive. This closure will go into effect at 8 tonight and continue until 5 Monday morning. The work being done this weekend is part of an ongoing project to replace the pavement and make other improvements in the vicinity of the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza.
