The Delaware Department of Transportation reports that I-95 construction will require the weekend closure of Exit 5B in New Castle County.
DelDOT’s contractor will be repairing the roadway with milling and hot-mix at I-95 exit 5B/I-95 southbound before DE 141 Northbound.
The closures are scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, pending weather.
During the exit closure, motorists will travel past the exit and take DE 141 southbound to the intersection of U.S. Route 13 and exit onto the ramp to U.S. Route 13 northbound and take the ramp to DE 141 northbound. Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
DelDOT encourages motorists to slowdown in work zones. In the event of inclement weather, this construction will be rescheduled for the weekend of December 2.
