Beginning Sunday night, September 18, the Exit 45 Bridge on the Maine Turnpike Authority will require southbound stoppages of up to 20 minutes each in order to perform emergency repairs due to a recent bridge hit.
The stoppages are scheduled to last for five nights beginning Sunday, September 18, 2016 and will last through Thursday night, September 22, 2016. Stoppages will begin each night at approximately 10:00 p.m. for up to 20 minutes at a time, and will continue as needed until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. The stoppages are necessary in order to perform girder heat straightening repairs to the bridge.
Overnight closures of the Exit 45 southbound ramps will also be required as part of the emergency repairs. Message boards will be updated to alert travelers to upcoming closures. Please travel with caution. The Maine Turnpike Authority thanks motorists for their patience during this construction.
