The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) reports that continuing work on the I-95 Restore the Corridor project will require several nights of rolling road blocks and full closures beginning Monday, June 13, 2022, and continuing through the week.
Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14:
Rolling road blocks of 15 minute intervals will occur on I-95 southbound from 8:00pm to 5:00am in the vicinity of the 2nd Street on-ramp. Traffic will be temporarily stopped during these hours while barrier walls are moved.
Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16:
I-95 southbound will be closed from 8:00pm to 5:00am with traffic being detoured to Exit 6 M.L. King Jr Blvd and Fourth St.
Friday, June 17 or Saturday, June 18:
The 2nd Street on-ramp to I-95 southbound will be closed from 9:00pm to 6:00amon Friday, June 17, or in the event of inclement weather, Saturday, June 18 from 9:00pmto 6:00am.
Motorists will be detoured to Exit 6, M.L. King Jr Blvd. and Fourth St. to W. 2nd St. to SB US 13 to I-495 southbound or follow the signed Blue Route detour from within the city of Wilmington to avoid delays during these times.
