During this Thanksgiving travel holiday, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) reminds motorists to travel safely and allow extra time to reach your destination. DelDOT will suspend lane closures on major roadways beginning at 6:00 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 until 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
DelDOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and/or restrictions are possible due to transportation incidents and weather conditions.
Motorists who have E-ZPass can use the E-ZPass Lanes at the following Toll Plazas locations: I-95 in Newark; SR 1-Biddles Corner near Roth Bridge and US 13; and SR 1 near the Dover International Speedway in Dover.
Travelers can stop at the Biden Welcome Center on I-95 (530 John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway) in Newark or the Smyrna Rest Area, SR 1 southbound, Exit 119 or US 13 in Smyrna.
