Depending on the time of day, I-95 travelers will find the journey through Jacksonville a little stressful. The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts for I-95 construction and maintenance in the Jacksonville metro area this week:
- Complete nighttime access closure on I-95 southbound access to Acosta and Main Street bridges through Saturday, June 17 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for bridge construction.
- Detour for southbound Acosta Bridge traffic is Prudential Drive, Kings Avenue, Philips Highway, Emerson Street to I-95 southbound.
- Detour for southbound Main Street Bridge traffic is Museum Circle, Prudential Drive, Kings Avenue, Philips Highway, Emerson Street to I-95 southbound.
- Detour for westbound Museum Circle traffic is San Marco Boulevard, Prudential Drive, Kings Avenue, Philips Highway, Emerson Street to I-95 southbound.
- Detour for eastbound and westbound Prudential Drive is Kings Avenue, Philips Highway, Emerson Street to I-95 southbound.
- Nighttime lane closures weeknights on I-95 at Butler Boulevard from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for overpass work and for area maintenance. Double lane closures may be set up after 10:00 p.m. for road work. Nighttime northbound road lane closures Wednesday through Friday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for road work. Follow detour route.
- Nighttime southbound off-ramp lane closure to Butler Boulevard through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and nighttime off-ramp closure from I-95 northbound to Butler Boulevard eastbound through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for overhead sign work.
- Detour is Bowden Road, I-95 southbound to Butler Boulevard.
- Nighttime lane closures from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from Atlantic Boulevard to the overpass at San Diego Road for roadway and bridge construction.
- Nighttime lane closures on I-95 access road from Overland Bridge project to Atlantic Boulevard from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for bridge construction.
- Continuous lane closures on I-95 from Park Street to Atlantic Boulevard for roadway construction.
- Nighttime northbound lane closures on I-95 from Park Street to Emerson Street from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for roadway and overpass construction.
