Frustrated I-95 travelers in South Carolina finally got some good news from the state’s Department of Transportation as all lanes, both northbound and southbound I-95, have been opened to traffic at 4:00 pm today.
Road warriors aren’t out of the woods quite yet as just across the border in North Carolina, portions of I-95 remain closed.
South Carolina’s I-95 initially closed on Monday as a result of hurricane Florence flooding. Southbound lanes reopened to traffic later that day, but northbound lanes remained closed until Wednesday. Later that day a different section of I-95 in South Carolina closed because of flooding.
