It appears that Buc-ee’s, the massive texas-based gas station and convenience store, is setting it’s sights on another location directly off Interstate 95.
Officials of St. Lucie County, Florida hosted a pre-application meeting on July 27, 2023 for a “travel center/fueling station” to be constructed on 33 acres at the southeast quadrant of I-95 and Indrio Road (exit 138) in Fort Pierce. While the travel center/fueling station was not directly named, the conceptual plans presented at the meeting clearly show “Buc-ee’s — Fort Pierce, FL” in the title bar.
Plans presented show 73,000 square feet of retail space, 733 parking stalls, 11 bus parking stalls, 120 fueling stations and 20 EV charging stations.
If these plans come to fruition, it will be the 4th Buc-ee’s location in Florida and the 3rd along the state’s I-95 corridor. Current Buc-ee’s stores in Florida are located directly off I-95 in St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. Construction is underway on infrastructure to accommodate a third location in Ocala, directly off I-75.
No construction or opening dates were projected. As additional details become available, they will be reported here.
