The Maryland Department of Transportation reports that more than 1.7 million motorists are expected to travel through the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) and John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway (I-95) between Tuesday, November 21, and Sunday, November 26.
It is recommended that, if possible schedule your travel during off-peak hours to avoid significant delays. For the I-95 corridor, off-peak hours include:
- Tuesday and Wednesday — before 6:00 a.m. and after 11:00 p.m.
- Thursday through Sunday — before 9:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m.
