The National Museum of the Marine Corps is located just off I-95 in Triangle, Virginia, about 35 miles south of Washington, D.C. The museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history and legacy of the United States Marine Corps, and it features a wide range of exhibits and interactive displays that are designed to educate and engage visitors of all ages.
The museum’s exhibits cover the entire history of the Marine Corps, from the Revolutionary War to the present day, and include displays on topics such as Marine Corps aviation, amphibious warfare, and the role of the Marine Corps in various conflicts throughout history. There are also exhibits on the Marine Corps’ traditions, values, and culture, as well as displays of Marine Corps artwork, artifacts, and memorabilia.
The National Museum of the Marine Corps also features a variety of interactive exhibits and experiences, including a flight simulator, a combat art gallery, and a hands-on gallery where visitors can learn about the science and technology behind Marine Corps operations. The museum also has a theater that shows films about the Marine Corps and its history.
The National Museum of the Marine Corps is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day. The museum’s hours of operation are as follows:
Monday – Saturday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am to 5:00pm
