The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has recently completed sound mitigation wall installation along I-95 north between mile markers 85-87 and 88-89 in Hanover County.
Following recent widening projects and increased traffic in the area, the walls were installed to reduce traffic noise from I-95. The project cost was $4.4 million.
Construction began in March 2019 and was completed under budget.
