The 99 Restaurant has generous portions and low prices. You’ve got to try the broiled sirloin tips! One pound of tender, juicy, marinated, flame-broiled beef… and only $8.99! I’m hungry already. The “99″ is a small (about 60) family-owned regional chain of New England restaurants. Very popular with the locals, so you know it’s good. We’ve been to several in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and the quality, service and prices are consistently good.

This is a nice place to take the family! Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar is a national chain with a great atmosphere, a nice selection and reasonable prices. There seem to be more and more Applebee’s being built and we’ve noted that the menu varies from region to region but some of the more popular choices are common to all. They have also got a great selection for the kids.

Location: I-95, Exit 34, Waterville, Maine
Ruby Tuesday opened a couple of years ago in Waterville near the Home Depot. This place is great. It’s like many new “neighborhood grill, bar & Pub” restaurants that are opening everywhere. This one has many posters and vintage things everywhere on the walls about the Waterville area and Colleges. The food is good and i especially like the half-pound chicken finger platter. The restaurant looks good inside and out!

I’m a sub man. Always was, always will be. On the road (I.m a salesman) I need good food fast and cheap. Blimpie’s is great food, cheap. I just whip out my Blimpie’s card, order a 12″ Blimpie’s Best and I’m good to go. It’s healthy food too… but that’s not why I like it. It’s just good

Location: I-95, Exit 61, Smyrna, Maine
If you travel long enough north on I-95 you will come to a small town in Maine off of Exit 61, called Smyrna. By stopping at the restaurant that is directly off of the exit you will have the opportunity to eat at the finest homestyle cooking restaurant in New England (at least). It’s name is Brookside Inn, people have traveled from Southern Maine (a great distance if you travel Maine very often) just to dine at this small but comfortable place and I for one have traveled from New Hampshire for their scrumptious Rueben Sandwich or their chicken pie and Homemade French Fries. Their homemade breads and desserts are worth the long trek as well. I hope you have the privilege of someday traveling to Smyrna, Maine and enjoying Brookside Inn (and it’s owners who are very welcoming and kind).
