Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuit restaurants are few and far between up here in New England, but every time we travel south on I-95 we make it a point to stop at a Popeye’s at least once. Specializing in New Orleans-style chicken, Popeye’s is the world’s second-largest quick-service chicken chain. We love it! It’s got KFC beat by a mile!

I-95, Exit 363, Jacksonville, Florida
I dined at this fabulous restaurant more than once. I was told by many of my I-95 road warriors friends that it was the best place for steaks on I-95. It has been my 4th time at the Millhouse and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed. It’s moderately priced for the quality served. I think it has one of the most extensive menus I have ever seen. All quality menu items. This is a must try if you are traveling in north Florida on I-95.

Murray’s Grill has great food, great service and good drinks. They are a little ways from I-95… about 6 miles off the highway (Exit 373) in Yulee, but it’s worth the extra drive. I love it here and recommend it to all my friends.

What a great little spot on 253 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton, Florida! They have 12 flavors of empanadas, we tried about 7 and each and every one was better then the last, they also have these amazing pizza’s! Everything is baked right there on the spot, it takes about 5 minutes, it comes out warm and fresh and beyond yummy.
For dessert we had gelatto, it really, truly was the best ice cream I have ever had in my entire life! The Dulce de Leche and Blackberry was to die for… they explained that it was Artisan ice cream and that this brand had won the best ice cream in Florida for the past few years! It was worth every single mile we drove. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant and plan to go back again, and again, and again, ENJOY!

If you love Rock Shrimp you should never pass up the Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant. It’s located about a mile east of I-95 on Route 406, South side of the road. We’ve stopped here several times on the way south to Miami and have never been dissappointed. I recommend it to all our friends.
