Matteos Italian Restaurant

Location: I-95, Exit 36 - Brunswick, Georgia

Matteos is located just off I-95 next to the Best Western. We usually make Brunswick a regular stop on our way to Florida and have eaten at Matteos several times. The food is great here… a lot like home cooking and the portions are generous. It’s a little unusual to find good Italian food down this way, especially right of an exit. I’m fairly sure that the restaurant is family owned and operated. The staff has been friendly and accommodating every time we have visited.

Their menu has is quite varied with something for everyone. They have a large selection of authentic Italian dishes… including pizza, which is also very good. If it’s around meal time and we’re near Brunswick, we make it a point to stop here. I recommend it to all I-95 travelers!

Sunrise Grill

Location: I-95, Exit 1 - Kittery, Maine

Kittery is the first I-95 exit once you get into Maine. The area is a popular outlet shopping stop. Just a few hundred feet south on US Route one you’ll find the Sunrise Grill. We stopped here for breakfast one morning and found a full parking lot. Looked like all the locals eat here. We had a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. We plan on heading up to Maine again next month and plan to stop here for lunch.
